Valérian and Laureline are spatio-temporal agents from Galaxity, the capital of a future in which humanity has mastered travel through space and time. Tasked with preserving the balance of history, they journey across different eras, planets, and civilizations to prevent catastrophes, resolve diplomatic crises, or stop threats capable of altering the course of time. Throughout their missions, their travels bring them into contact with alien peoples, strange societies, and political conflicts that often lead them to question the decisions of their own civilization.
