Ichigo Kurosaki is a high school student who has been able to see spirits since childhood. His life changes when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper tasked with protecting humans from Hollows, corrupted souls that prey on the living. Injured during a battle, Rukia transfers part of her powers to Ichigo, allowing him to fight these creatures himself. As he learns to control his new abilities and protect the people close to him, Ichigo gradually discovers the existence of the Soul Society, the Soul Reapers, and a spiritual world governed by its own laws, conflicts, and secrets.
