In Death City, the DWMA trains fighters capable of battling witches, monsters, and corrupted souls. Students fight in pairs: Meisters wield partners who can transform into weapons. Maka Albarn teams up with Soul Eater Evans and aims to turn him into a Death Scythe by collecting the required souls. Alongside Black☆Star, Tsubaki, Death the Kid, Liz, and Patty, they face increasingly dangerous enemies while a threat connected to madness and ancient powers begins to spread across the world.
