The race against the clock continues in the basements of the Shibusen Institute. Medusa and cohort are about to revive the legendary "great devorer" who sleeps under the school. Trying at all costs to put this evil plan in check, Maka agrees to sink into madness in order to confront Crona, the damned blade. An introspective fight at the uncertain end is then engaged between the two meisters.
