How can you recognise a good character creation tool?
A tool that looks impressive in a demonstration is not automatically suited to your project.

What result must it produce?
An illustration intended for a cover does not have the same constraints as a game character, a VTuber avatar, a figurine or a digital human intended for a film.
Begin with the expected output, not the feature list.
Does the character need to remain consistent?
A single image can tolerate a few inaccuracies.
