Overview

Fable builds its world around a simple idea: the hero's actions should have visible consequences. Fighting, helping or betraying others, developing certain abilities and choosing how the character behaves gradually influence their appearance, reputation and relationships with the inhabitants of Albion. Traditional fantasy is therefore mixed with distinctly British humor and an often deliberately offbeat take on the heroic tale.

Fable II follows this logic several centuries later in a transformed Albion, where cities, weapons and society have evolved. Fable III continues this transformation by placing the player in front of responsibilities that gradually extend beyond the hero's individual journey to directly affect power and the kingdom itself.

Fable Anniversary ultimately returns to the first game in a modernized version, making it possible to rediscover the foundations of the series with an updated technical presentation. These four works therefore show the evolution of a universe that retains the same fascination with the consequences of choice while moving Albion forward through different eras.
