The Herbaliser is a British group formed in London in the early 1990s around Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba. Closely associated with Ninja Tune, the duo developed a sound blending instrumental hip-hop, trip-hop, jazz, funk and turntablism, initially built around sampling and later expanded through live instrumentation. With albums such as Remedies, Very Mercenary and Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Herbaliser became one of the defining acts of the British beatmaking and hip-hop scene.
