PUP is a Canadian punk rock band formed in Toronto in the early 2010s around Stefan Babcock, Nestor Chumak, Steve Sladkowski and Zack Mykula. The group developed a sharp, melodic sound blending punk rock, pop punk, indie rock and post-hardcore, driven by explosive choruses and lyrics that are often sarcastic, anxious and self-deprecating. With albums such as PUP, The Dream Is Over and Morbid Stuff, the band became one of the defining acts of contemporary Canadian alternative punk.
