La Ruda, formerly known as La Ruda Salska, is a French rock band formed in Saumur in the early 1990s. The group developed an energetic sound blending ska, punk rock, alternative rock and prominent brass arrangements, driven by French-language lyrics and a strong live identity. With albums such as Le Prix du silence, L’Art de la joie, Passager du réel and 24 images/seconde, La Ruda became one of the defining bands of the French ska-rock and alternative rock scene.
