Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed in Seattle in the mid-1990s by Dave Grohl, following the end of Nirvana. Initially conceived as a personal project, the band quickly evolved into a full group blending alternative rock, post-grunge, hard rock and power pop, driven by powerful guitars, anthemic choruses and strong live energy. With albums such as The Colour and the Shape, There Is Nothing Left to Lose and Wasting Light, Foo Fighters became one of the leading bands in contemporary American rock.
