Against Me! is an American punk rock band formed in Florida in the late 1990s around Laura Jane Grace. Initially rooted in a raw, independent folk-punk approach, the band gradually developed a broader sound blending punk, alternative rock and post-hardcore influences. Through albums such as Reinventing Axl Rose, New Wave and Transgender Dysphoria Blues, Against Me! became known for direct, political and deeply personal songwriting exploring identity, social anger, power structures and personal transformation.
