With the Raijin Tribe defeated, the masked Mystogan engages Laxus and fights him to force him to raise the Thunder Palace spell. Their battle attracts Natsu and Erza, who see Laxus tear off Mystogan's mask, revealing that he resembles Jellal. Erza and the rest of Fairy Tail destroy Thunder Palace. Natsu and Gajeel fight Laxus, but their attacks are ineffective. Laxus reveals himself to be a Dragon Slayer (electricity). Frustrated by the failure of his plans, Laxus casts a spell to destroy Magnolia, but it has no effect because he doesn't truly consider everyone his enemy. Natsu defeats him. Levy arrives and tells Laxus that Makarov is dying.
