Natsu is rescued from Mercphobia by Ignia, the Dragon God of Fire and Igneel's biological son. To strengthen Natsu for a future confrontation, Ignia spreads his flames and incites him to eat them. The flames grant Natsu enough power to beat Mercphobia, but push him almost to rage until Lucy calms him. Mercphobia regains his reason and is drained of his power, fulfilling the mission's conditions. Out of gratitude, Mercphobia directs Fairy Tail to the city of Drasil to find Aldoron, the Dragon God of Wood. On the way, they visit a doppelgänger guild called Fairy Nail (Juvia's double encourages Gray to confess his feelings). In Drasil, the team finds Juvia (who escaped the White Wizard) and discovers that the city is built upon Aldoron's gigantic right hand.
