Natsu's team embarks on the Quest of 100 Years, a mission issued by the Magia Dragon guild on the northern continent of Guiltina. The guild master, Elefseria (a former human Dragon Slayer), orders them to submit the Five Divine Dragons (each rivaling Acnologia). The team travels to the city of Ermina in search of Mercphobia, the Water Dragon God, who is also hunted by a trio of Dragon Eaters from the Diabolos guild — Kiria, Madmole, Skullion Raider — who want to steal Mercphobia's magic by devouring him. Mercphobia appears in humanoid form and interrupts the fight, revealing that a centenarian sorceress, the White Wizard, has already stolen a large part of his power. He asks the team to retrieve it before he loses control. Fairy Tail recruits a new member, Touka, whom Jellal suspects is the White Wizard.
