Mai starts high school with Trunks and Goten. Dr. Hedo sends his Beta Androids against them. Mai uses the reservation for their prom to trap Hedo, but he escapes. Kuririn reveals that Hedo is the grandson of Dr. Gero and that the police want to prevent the reformed Red Ribbon Army from contacting him. Hedo destroys the floppy disk but is arrested for corpse theft. Upon release, Magenta and Carmine recruit him to build Androids. They convince him that Goku and his friends are alien invaders led by Bulma. Six months later, Piccolo begins training Pan (Gohan is absorbed in his research). Piccolo is attacked by Gamma #2 (superhero-themed Android) and is followed to the Red Ribbon base. Hedo works on Cell Max (giant version of Cell) but hesitates to activate it (incomplete control program). Bulma cannot reach Goku and Vegeta (who are training Broly with Beerus and Whis).
