The world as we knew it has disappeared. The world of commerce, of superfluousness, of frivolity is now replaced by a world of responsibility and survival. An epidemic, with apocalyptic proportions, has fallen on Earth, where the dead rise to feed themselves on living. In a few months, society has fallen to dust. More governments, more food stores, more mail, more television. No more. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to start living, finally.
The survivors, who are gathered around Rick, organize themselves and manage the emerging tensions in their small community at the best. Each day has been a victory over the horror that surrounds them. Rick, who has become their leader by force of things, must now find a way to survive one day, one week, another month. And this survival will only be at the cost of heavy sacrifices.
The world as we know it has disappeared. Definitely. Rick and his group of survivors leave the Atlanta area in search of the shelter that will protect them from the constant attacks of the dead-living. Chance smiles at them when they find on their way a huge penitentiary left to abandon. At least, they think so because once the surroundings are cleaned, they meet the occupants of the prison. The founding work of the genre in comic strip, Walking Dead is imposed by its quality of writing and its attention to the relationships between the characters of this incredible human adventure. Indeed, beyond the scenes where the threat of the dead-living appears, the authors lead us into a narrative where survival is the affair of every moment, and where the slightest error can prove fatal.
Rick and his group of survivors found refuge in a former penitentiary. After having invested and cleaned the premises, they met former prisoners and discovered that the enemy was not necessarily the one they believed. After neutralizing the immediate threat of Dexter, Rick, as natural leader, established the new laws of a society with a human face.
Rick and his family have been living in a place where they are protected from a humanity transformed into zombies, behind the gates of an abandoned penitentiary. One morning, a helicopter flies over the area and crashes a few kilometres away. Rick, Michonne and Glenn are stopping and leaving to rescue the survivors. On the spot, they discover a multitude of tracks of steps that indicate to them the presence of another human community nearby.
Rick, Michonne and Glenn are still held captive by the Governor, the charismatic leader of the small community of Woodbury. Every hour that passes away from the certainty of seeing their loved ones, who remain behind the prison gates. Mutilated and terrorized, the prisoners discover the unbalanced personality of their torturer.

Negan refuses and teaches Rick that the Hill has joined him! Nothing can stop the unleashing of destruction... Kirkman and Adlard accelerate the rhythm of the series phenomenon.
After Negan's counter-attack, the damage and losses are heavy. Negan has managed to convince some people to change sides. Ezekiel, on the other hand, is collapsed by the death of his tiger Shiva, and Rick can no longer count on him for the moment. Dwight wants to shoot him immediately, but Magna is preventing him. They decide to take him to Rick... Meanwhile, Beta has found Alpha's headless body. Tension is still rising with a sharper...
The Hill was devastated and the community that lived there had to flee the place, under the impulse of Maggie. Dwight joined Rick, telling him that the Chuchotors were destroyed. Unfortunately, even though Beta who took the lead of the Chuchotors lost a battle, he launched a horde of roosters on Alexandria. The war may be over, but Alexandria's survival is at stake.
With Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard, the series continues and goes from twists and turns! The group of survivors led by Rick Grimes finds the worst danger facing him... And it's not zombies!
