Conrad “Duke” Hauser, one of the most decorated soldiers in the U.S. military, sees everything he believes shaken after surviving an attack by a fighter jet capable of transforming into a giant robot. When his superiors refuse to believe his story, Duke decides to investigate the extraterrestrial threat on his own. His search for answers leads him to Energon, the existence of the Transformers, and the first signs of a much larger conflict. Hunted, isolated, and increasingly viewed as a problem by his own chain of command, he finds himself at the center of a secret war where alliances become uncertain and the foundations of the future G.I. Joe team begin to take shape.
