Calle 13 is a Puerto Rican group formed in the mid-2000s around Residente and Visitante, later joined notably by iLe. The collective became known for a sound that resists easy classification, blending hip-hop, reggaeton, Latin music, rock, electronic elements and traditional influences from across Latin America. Driven by lyrics that are often satirical, political and socially conscious, Calle 13 became one of the most distinctive and outspoken acts in Latin American music.
