King Knut's army has landed in the estate of Ketil. Far from admitting to being defeated, Ketil has gathered his troops to defend his farm. But without a real military formation, the peasants are far from being large in front of the dreadful Jomsvikings. Murderous madness falls on the farm. Thorfinn and Einar, for their part, who have finally gained their freedom, decide to leave everything with Leif to found, in Vinland, a country where peace will reign. If Einar is tempted to leave without a look back, this is not the case of Thorfinn. The latter remains furious against Master Ketil since he killed Arneis.
