After befriending a young orphan whom he tries to help, Miyamoto Musashi resumes his quest for the ultimate sword, punctuated by battles. Meanwhile, Musashi fights to bring life back to the land before the winter soil becomes too dry. This work serves as training for the young man, who little by little learns patience.
