The duel against Denshichiro finally takes place. Although the outcome is obvious, the fight is nonetheless electrifying. Despite Musashi's will, the spiral of violence and death continues unabated, and nothing seems able to stop it. As he reflects on this, Musashi encounters an old friend in the capital: Matahachi Hon'iden!
