Chagot (queen of the Exceed) confesses that the supposed divinity of the Exceed is a sham. Carla's resolution inspires the Exceed. Mystogan (revealed to be the prince of Edolas and son of Faust) sends the lacrima away through an Anima portal, restoring everyone to Earth-Land. The army encircles the Exceed and transforms them into lacrima. Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy defeat Faust in his robot-dragon Droma Anim. Erza beats Nightwalker. Lucy and Gray defend the Exceed. The Fairy Tail guild of Edolas supports them. To prevent a new conflict over Edolas magic, Mystogan reverses the Anima portals to make all magic, taking responsibility for the panic. Natsu pretends to be a wicked "Demon King" so that Mystogan can "defeat" him and reclaim his legitimate place.
