Loke invites Lucy and her friends on a paid vacation to a resort, joined by Juvia. The vacation is interrupted when Erza and Happy are kidnapped by four of Erza's childhood friends at the Tower of Heaven, built by Jellal to resurrect Zeref. The Fairy Tail team and Juvia infiltrate the tower, finding Erza who has already escaped. Erza reveals her past as a slave. Siegrain (a Council member resembling Jellal) persuades the Council to destroy the tower with the weapon Etherion.
