Lucy and Gray defeat Mimi and Hakune. Suzaku wounds Selene with the magic gained from his son Kurunugi (a dragon killed by Georg, the master of Diabolos). Natsu and Erza recover but fail to prevent Selene from fleeing to Elentear, with Suzaku pursuing her. Elentear is overwhelmed by the giant hands of Alta Face (an underground monster caused by Selene). The team destroys Alta Face, allowing Faris and her priestesses to defeat its hands. With Elentear saved, the mages forgive Faris and return to Earthland. Suzaku takes Selene captive to Georg, who she effortlessly kills after freeing herself—she had faked her defeat to avenge Kurunugi.
