After a failed attempt by Carmine and Soldier 15 (Android) to turn Goten and Trunks against Gohan, the five are taken to Beerus's planet (Goku wants to test Gohan's new form, Gohan Beast), and the two antagonists are accidentally taken along. After Gohan measures up against Goten, Trunks, Goku (in perfected Ultra Instinct), and Broly (who is progressing in controlling his rage), a battle royale erupts before they return to Earth. While Goku accompanies Piccolo to pick up Pan at school, Carmine abandons the Red Ribbon to dedicate himself to Red Pharmaceuticals. It is learned that Goten and Trunks were inspired to become Saiyaman X-1 and X-2 during a visit to the Earth Heroes Museum (where Trunks saw Cleangod defeat a crime, unaware it was Gohan).
