Kuririn tries to kill Vegeta with Yajirobe's sword, but Goku begs him to spare him. Bulma and the others arrive and take them to the hospital. With the Dragon Balls destroyed, the group decides to go to the planet Namek (the origin planet of Piccolo and Kami) to find the local Dragon Balls. Mr. Popo gives them Kami's ship. Bulma, Kuririn, and Gohan set off for Namek. Goku, initially injured, is healed by Senzu beans and sets off in turn. On Namek, Gohan and Kuririn discover that Freeza, a galactic warlord, is searching for the Dragon Balls to become immortal. A resurrected Vegeta also arrives.
