Guts and Puck arrive in a city ruled by terror. Its citizens are tortured by its lord, who is corrupted by evil to the point of transforming into a monster. During their confrontation, Guts is on the verge of facing the God Hand after so many years. Why are they pursuing him? To clarify this mystery, the story takes an unexpected turn and returns to Guts' origins.
