Athena is the adopted daughter of a Lebanese couple. She goes to live in London with her family when the war breaks out in their country, a war of which she predicted the advent and gravity. At the university, she gets acquainted with the one who will be the father of her child. The two young men marry against the opinion of their families, but their marriage does not last long. Being a mother, Athena cannot help but think of her own mother, the one who gave birth to her, and goes to search for her in Romania - her mother is a gypsy. Athena wants to understand how she could abandon her. What the young woman will discover on this trip will change her life and that of her entourage.
