Maktub is a collection of stories, parables that, if they have no claim to constitute an apprenticeship, represent a colorful treasure of wisdom in fragments. These short texts, inspired to the author by the most diverse sources and folklores, were born from a contribution by Paulo Coelho to the Brazilian daily La Folha de São Paulo. In view of the success encountered by the section, the author decided to select his favorite texts to offer his readers from all over the world this Maktub, deepening through the play of a mosaic his immutable message: that of the personal legend and the teachings of the soul of the world.
