In an alternate reality, the rocket carrying Superman does not crash in the United States but in the Soviet Union. Raised under the influence of the communist regime, he gradually becomes the ultimate symbol of Soviet power and uses his extraordinary abilities in support of a political project that claims to bring peace and security to the world. Opposing him, Lex Luthor becomes one of the leading minds of American resistance, while Batman and Wonder Woman also take on very different roles in this global balance. As Superman tries to impose his vision of a better world, the line between protection, authority, and control becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish.
