After fleeing the authorities in Argos, Conan boards a merchant ship that is attacked by the fearsome Bêlit, queen of the pirates of the Black Coast. Their encounter marks the beginning of a passionate, turbulent relationship and an alliance that takes them across the seas and kingdoms of the Hyborian Age. Alongside Bêlit and her crew, Conan takes part in raids, confronts powerful enemies, and discovers the dangers of a life torn between love and violence.
