While Thorgal, on board the Sabre Boat, is heading for Bag Dadh in search of Aniel, the beautiful and mysterious Saluma tells him that the Red Magicians have condemned his son to death so that he may be reborn as the Master of the Red Magicians. Saluma tells him the story of Bag Dadh and the Red Magicians Brotherhood. In the light of this story, Thorgal is faced with a dilemma: saving his son or saving Bag Dadh from tyranny? Does her son's life be worth the suffering of an entire city?
