Massam, the slave in charge of the low works of the Empress Poppeus, received the order to exterminate the gladiator Balba, the friend of Lucius Murena, and his companion Evix who dared to defeat Nero in the chariot race. Determined to avenge the murder of Britannicus, they were considered dangerous enemies of the emperor. Both colosses ended up fighting and Balba took over Massam. At the imperial palace, while Nero planned to build a new Rome, Poppeus took hold with his successors. One of his most intimate friends, Arsilia, was invited to secretly join the poet Petrone in a popular neighborhood of the city. She found herself there in the presence of Murena, of which she had begun to build a new Rome at the time when he was one of the emperor's relatives. Murena is convinced that Arsilia is an accomplice in the abduction of the only woman whom he loves and yet puts herself in the presence of Murena, of which she had begun to see again that she had gone missing. She was still in the procession and decided to remove the death.
