On the eve of the year 1000, a catastrophe plunges Earth into darkness, destroying civilizations and erasing much of humanity’s ancient knowledge. When Primus discovers how to cultivate einkorn wheat and imagines a new way of life, he disrupts a balance that has existed for generations.
