Introduction

Dahyun (다현), born Kim Da-hyun (김다현) on May 28, 1998, in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, is a rapper, singer and actress best known as a member of TWICE, a K-pop girl group formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015.

As one of the group's rappers and vocalists, she is recognized for her expressiveness, rhythmic delivery and engaging personality. She also contributes lyrics to several TWICE songs, developing a creative dimension alongside her stage performances. Since 2025, she has expanded her artistic career into acting.

Career

Dahyun attracted attention during her teenage years through a dance performance at a youth festival. Scouted by JYP Entertainment, she joined the agency in July 2012 and underwent several years of training in rap, singing and dance. In 2015, she participated in the survival show SIXTEEN and was selected for TWICE, which officially debuted on October 20 with the mini-album The Story Begins.

As a member of the group, she contributed to its international development while becoming increasingly involved in songwriting. In 2017, she participated in writing the lyrics for Missing U, later receiving credits for songs including Scandal, Gone and You Get Me. Her songwriting allows her to bring a personal perspective to TWICE's music.

In February 2025, Dahyun made her film debut in You Are the Apple of My Eye, a South Korean romance adapted from a Taiwanese film. She subsequently appeared in Run to You and the television drama Love Me, which premiered in December 2025. In 2026, an ankle injury temporarily prevented her from participating in several concerts on TWICE's THIS IS FOR tour.
