External AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenRouter)
Cloud AI becomes useful because it stays optional, opt-in and transparent about what it's allowed to do.
What you gain
- Enable one specific external agent, without changing anything else in the app.
- Keep every agent read-only by default, write access only on explicit permission.
- Add a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint (Ollama, LM Studio, enterprise provider).
Typical workflow
- Open AI settings, External Agents tab.
- Enable Claude Code, Codex, OpenRouter, or add your endpoint with an API key if needed.
- Pick the agent from the chat's provider selector for the current conversation.
