Portishead is a British group formed in Bristol in the early 1990s around Beth Gibbons, Geoff Barrow and Adrian Utley. Their music blends trip-hop, electronic music, hip-hop, jazz and cinematic influences, with slow rhythms, dark samples, atmospheric guitars and Beth Gibbons’ fragile, expressive voice. With albums such as Dummy, Portishead and Third, the group became one of the most iconic and influential acts in British trip-hop.
