Chinese Man is a French trio formed in 2004 by High Ku, Matteo and Sly. Originating from southern France and closely tied from the beginning to the independent label Chinese Man Records, the group developed a hybrid sound blending hip-hop, trip-hop, dub, electronic music, reggae and influences from around the world. With albums such as Racing with the Sun, Shikantaza and We’ve Been Here Before, Chinese Man became one of the most distinctive acts in France’s independent electronic and hip-hop scene.
