Blur is a British rock band formed in London in the late 1980s around Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree. A defining act of Britpop, the group became known for blending alternative rock, British pop, art rock and experimentation, often paired with ironic observations of society and everyday life. With albums such as Parklife, The Great Escape, Blur and 13, Blur became one of the most important bands in modern British rock.
