Anti-Flag was an American punk rock band formed in Pittsburgh in the late 1980s around Justin Sane and Pat Thetic. Their music blended punk rock, melodic hardcore and street punk influences, with strongly political lyrics focused on anti-war themes, social inequality, human rights and political criticism. With albums such as A New Kind of Army, The Terror State and For Blood and Empire, Anti-Flag became one of the most recognizable bands in American political punk before disbanding in 2023.
