In a world where humans and robots coexist, Gesicht, a robotic Europol detective, investigates a series of murders targeting some of the most powerful robots on Earth as well as humans connected to them. Each crime scene bears the same strange signature, suggesting that an enemy capable of challenging the fundamental rules of robotics is at work. As his investigation progresses, Gesicht discovers that the killings are connected to a past war, deeply buried traumas, and a mysterious entity known as Pluto, while the boundary between human emotions and artificial consciousness becomes increasingly difficult to define.
