Accompanied by Sasuke and Sakura, Naruto, the worst kid in the Ninja Academy of the Hidden Village of Konoha, continues his training. As the final trial of the 'middle-class' Ninja Selection Exam is in full swing, Orochimaru, a former Konoha Ninja who has become a rogue, launches an assault on the village... The Hokage sacrifices himself to thwart his plans. He is replaced by Tsunade, who thus becomes the 5th Hokage. Sasuke, seduced by the power Orochimaru offers him, decides to leave Konoha to follow the envoys of the Sound Village. Naruto catches up to him, and the two friends engage in a terrible battle. Alas, nothing can prevent Sasuke's defection.
