While the camera that could have belonged to the famous disappeared mountaineer George Mallory always arouses all the lusts, Fukamachi undertakes to follow as photographer the clandestine ascent of Habu Jôji on the south-west face of Everest, in winter and without oxygen!! Habu accepts only on the condition that they no longer have contact after the ascent begins and that each one manages. Fukamachi then joins Habu for the period of acclimation to the altitude where he will learn a little more about this mysterious and fascinating character and perhaps also about himself...
