Goku uses Beerus's Destruction technique to destroy God Zamas, but stops when Mai is used as a shield. The Potara fusion breaks (1-hour limit). Trunks cuts God Zamas in half with his sword, but Zamas is immortal: the cells merged during the fusion, causing him to divide into copies. Vegeta tries to destroy him with fire, but this creates more copies. Goku and Vegeta flee to their timeline while the others stall. Goku remembers Zenō-sama's button, presses it, and Future Zenō appears, destroying the universe (along with God Zamas) and sending everyone back to the main timeline. Goku returns to retrieve this Zenō so he can meet the other. Trunks and Mai return to their timeline before the Kaiō-shin's death to warn Beerus. The two Zenō-sama organize a Tournament of Power in 40 hours, summoning the Gods of Destruction, Angels, and Kaiō-shin from the 12 universes. An exhibition match between the Zenō was planned but replaced by Goku vs Toppo.
