Goku continues his fight, using the Great Ape Fist (a bomb in the chest even without the moon) to pierce Piccolo's abdomen, but Piccolo, before dying, spits out a son, Piccolo Jr. Goku is saved by Yajirobe and taken to Karin. Karin tells him that Shenlong has been destroyed, but that its creator, Kami-sama (God), can restore him. Goku meets Mr. Popo (stronger than him), then Kami (Piccolo's good side). Kami resurrects Shenlong. Kuririn, Chaozu, Kame-Sen'nin, Namu, and Giran are resurrected. Kami agrees to train Goku against Piccolo Jr. 3 years later, a larger Goku appears at the 23rd Tenka'ichi Budōkai where an unknown woman punches him (forgetting his promise to Chi-Chi).
