"Carl-Gustav Jung (1875-1961), a Swiss physician, pioneer of psychoanalysis, is one of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century. He remains quite unknown in France, while his ideas have exerted a profound influence on our contemporary culture and he has been the inventor of many revolutionary concepts, such as synchronicity, collective unconsciousness, archetypes or complexes. He is with Spinoza one of the authors who have most marked me and he has had a decisive impact on my vision of the world and myself. That's why I had at heart to make his visionary thinking accessible to a broad public, which bridges between quantum psychology and physics, which shows how much the human being needs meaning and a symbolic or spiritual life to flourish deeply. This conviction will lead Freud to experiment and to develop his "individual process": an extraordinary inner journey, where each of us learns to make dialogue his conscious and his socialized world sold out of it and his sociological world to become fully self-conscious.
