Will Yorick Brown, the only survivor of a scourge that has killed all men, remain unique for a long time? During his journey through what remains of America and accompanied by a secret agent of the government, a specialist in cloning and the monkey Esperluette, the only other male mammal to have survived, the Last Man may be about to meet visitors from heaven: three astronauts are returning from the International Space Station, and two of them are men. The journey back to a vetose Soyuz capsule is already dangerous in itself, especially when a dangerous disease still makes the Earth uninhabitable. But the three travellers could also land in the midst of an international conflict to control the planetary stock of males and it is not said that they survive. A Little Step brings together episodes 11 to 17 of the popular Vertigo created by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, and brings up the stakes in the world without men they have imagined.
