Across several periods of his life, Thor faces a threat aimed directly at the existence of the gods. In his youth, he discovers the first massacres committed by Gorr the God Butcher, an enemy convinced that gods are unworthy of worship and determined to eradicate them. Centuries later, Thor encounters his trail again as entire pantheons begin disappearing across the universe. Across past, present, and future, the God of Thunder must uncover the origins of Gorr’s hatred and stop him from completing his mission, in a conflict that questions the very nature of gods and their place among mortals.
