Here is an important phase in the New Mutants career as it is marked by the death of one member of the team. Louise Simonson (X-Factor), Chris Claremont's preferred partner in the mutant universe during the 1980s, continues to weave an exciting plot for the young generation of mutants.
Volume 8 — 1988-1989
The times are hard for the New Mutants who have just lost their friend Cypher. Is it Magic's turn to fall? Limb forces have invaded New York and for the mutant witch, it will be complicated to resist its demonic side. Crossover Inferno strikes the Integrale of the New Mutans with full whips, with episodes related to crossover that we had never published before, including 74, which was never really published in France! This is also the case for the mini-series X-Terminators, first unveiled in these pages with well known characters like Rusty Collins or Big Bang! Contains US episodes: - New Mutants (1983) 55-66 - X-Terminators (1988) 1-4
Volume 9 — 1989-1990
Hela, the goddess of Asgard's death, corrupted Dani Moonstar's share of a walkyrie. To save her, the New Mutants appeal to Doctor Strange, but they will also have to mingle in Asgard, at the very moment when Héla tries to assassinate Odin! Several important elements about this ninth integral of the New Mutant: the intervention of crossover Atlantis Attacks!, an episode unheard of in France by Chris Claremont... and, at the end of the album, the arrival to the drawing of Rob Liefeld, the famous founder of Image Comics!
