When a group of British nationalists use an ancient artifact to bring back a villain from Arthurian legends to life, the former monster hunter Bridgette McGuire comes out of retirement (and retirement home). Accompanied by her grandson Duncan, a museum naïve conservative, she will resume service and attempt to defeat a legendary threat with black magic, and a strong sense of the right.
Although Bridgette and Duncan prevented Arthur from recovering the Grail, their actions accidentally caused the ruin of The Other World, allowing new legends and characters to make their appearance and problems as well. When a helmet is stolen from the British Museum, Bridgette and Duncan face a new big challenge: a monster and his mother.
Third and ultimate opus. Bridgette, Duncan and Rose are all there to find a way to stay ahead of Merlin while keeping things secret. But we are in the modern age and secrets can never be hidden long... The last chapter of this series, acclaimed by critics and nominated for the Eisner Awards, plunges us into the worst of both worlds!
Things seem to be impossible to get worse, but a rival king stands up to confront Arthur, plunged the country into civil war... and both pursue Bridgette, Duncan and Rose as they travel across the country, desperately trying to find a way to save Britain...
It's Christmas Eve and kings all converge towards Excalibur, each determined to be the one who will reign. Chaos is settled! And if no one had the strength to take the sword? Will the world finally know peace after so many battles, or will an unexpected character demand the throne? Rituals, bombs and battles follow, while the final destiny of Mary, Rose, Bridgette, Merlin will play! Contains the US episodes: Once Future #25-30
